You’ll need a Windows PC (XP or later), a USB ‘A’ to USB ‘B’ cable, and the Microsoft .Net Framework v4.0 or higher. An internet connection is recommended for updates.

What is Cashmaster's Consultancy Service?

How Do I Request a Consultation?

Submit an enquiry form on our Consultancy page. A Cashmaster representative will contact you to discuss your needs and eligibility.

Who Qualifies for Consultancy Services?

Eligibility is determined by factors such as the number of locations, business size, and geographic region. Consultations are offered at Cashmaster's discretion.

Polymer Banknotes

When will the new King Charles III banknotes be released?

The new King Charles III banknotes will be released on the 5th of June 2024.

Will my machine need to be updated for new king Charles III banknotes?

The Cashmaster One range can seamlessly count both old and new series polymer notes together, without requiring any changes or updates to the machine. This highlights its flexibility in adapting to evolving currency formats.

When will the new £50 polymer note be released?

The Bank of England has announced the new £50 polymer note will be released on June 23rd 2021. The Scottish note is tbc.

When will the paper notes be removed from circulation?

You will still be able to use the paper £50 note until it is withdrawn from circulation. The withdrawal date will be announced after the £50 polymer has been issued and at least six months prior to the date you'll no longer be able to use the paper for £50.

Is my Cashmaster device polymer ready?

Devices purchased in the last 12 months are already calibrated to the new £20 and £50 note.

Customers who have older models or a mix of older and new models should contact our Polymer Ready support team to be guided through the simple updating process. 

 

I have a very old Cashmaster device. Will it be able to count the new note?

Minimum requirements for the Be Polymer Ready Upgrade Pack are:

  • All Sigma 105 (Machines manufactured after 2010)
  • All Sigma 170 or Omega 230 devices machines with removable batteries
  • All Cashmaster One range

If, however, your machine does not meet the above requirements, our Polymer ready team will be able to advise on the best options.

How long will it take to update my Cashmaster device to enable it to count the polymer note?

It will only take 5 minutes to install our update file using our easy-to-follow instructions.

Will the Scottish banks issue a new £50 polymer note?

Yes. The date of introduction has not yet been announced. We will update this page when we have a date. Cashmaster has also completed the calibration process to enable counts of those variants.

Will my Cashmaster device be able to count the new polymer notes?

With our latest software update, the entire Cashmaster range will be able to count any combination of polymer, paper and coins. Cashmaster devices are already being shipped with built-in capability to count the new notes.

How do I count the new notes?

The paper and polymer variants of the notes should be sorted separately in cash drawers and placed separately onto your counter. When enabled, there will be ‘Paper’ and ‘Polymer’ note types active on your device.

Our Polymer ready team are ready to provide further information regarding updating devices ahead of the date at which the new note comes into circulation.
