Cashmaster Chosen for Banking Upgrade as Australia Affirms Cash Value
Lisa Fitzpatrick |
Latest research highlights the continued importance of cash in Australia's payments landscape, reinforcing its relevance to consumers and financial institutions alike.
According to the Reserve Bank of Australia's 2025 Consumer Payments Survey, one in two Australians uses cash in a typical week, while more than three-quarters continue to carry cash in their wallets.
Against this backdrop, Cashmaster has recently secured a significant project with a major Australian financial institution, which has selected Cashmaster One to support its day-to-day cash-handling operations.
Having previously used Cashmaster Sigma 170 counters across its branch network, the financial institution is now upgrading to Cashmaster One, building on an established relationship and demonstrating its continued confidence in Cashmaster's technology.
Commenting on the project, Gordon McKie, CEO of Cashmaster, said:
"We're delighted that this customer has once again placed their trust in Cashmaster. Building on our longstanding relationship, this project is a strong endorsement of our technology and our commitment to supporting the banking sector.
As the financial landscape continues to evolve, we remain focused on providing practical, reliable solutions that help our customers manage cash with confidence."
