For some families, Christmas is a luxury they just cannot afford. That’s why, this Christmas, the team at leading count-by-weight cash counting device manufacturer, Cashmaster International, will be doing their bit to bring a little sunshine into the lives of children in the Fife area.
As part of Radio Forth 1’s Mission Christmas Cash for Kids appeal, staff at the Dalgety Bay HQ of Cashmaster have set up a gift donation box – and it’s filling up fast with books, toys and all sorts of goodies ready for the big man in the red suit to whisk off to the region’s struggling families.
Mandy Salmond, Production Administrator at Cashmaster, who is organising the drive for donations said:
“Every year, we like to get involved in a charity appeal. Last year we collected for the local foodbank and that was extremely successful. This year we are turning our attention to helping children. It’s a sad fact, and a heart-breaking one, that many children in our own region, will wake up on Christmas morning to nothing under the Christmas tree. We hope that our gifts will go some way to brightening up the festive season for those children, who are in such desperate need.”
In addition to driving gift donations, the team has organised a fundraising cake sale and tombola.
